What is Seborrhea? How does it Affect your Hair?

Seborrheic dermatitis is a harsh form of dandruff that affects the sensitive skin of the scalp and can result in hair loss. Seborrheic hair loss is a form of untimely hair loss that usually afflicts people in their youth, commencement between 20 and 30 years of age, mainly affecting the crown and the frontal region. The cause is related to a surplus production of sebum that provokes or hastens hair loss. The symptoms that go with seborrheic hair loss are scalp pain, itchiness and greasy dandruff that flakes. Excess sebaceous gland activity is caused by an enzyme named 5-alpha reductase or by hormonal imbalances, which converts testosterone into dihydrotestosterone (DHT). The quantity of these converting enzymes and receptors that detain the androgens (testosterone) present on the scalp varies in everyone and influences the amount of sebum that is formed. The significance of the seborrheic hair loss depends on how the receptors and enzymes are dispersed on the scalp. What is Seborr
